What is Disc Golf

The sport of disc golf evolved as an offshoot of the many games spawned by the Frisbee craze. The game started with people using Frisbees and aiming at targets made up of trees, trash cans, light poles, pipes, and whatever else was handy.

Disc golf is played much like traditional golf, sharing the same joys and frustrations of traditional golf. Instead of clubs, players use golf discs aiming at the Disc Pole Hole. Starting from a tee area and finishing at the Disc Pole Hole, the object of the game is to complete the hole in the fewest number of throws. Generally, courses consist of 9 or 18 holes and the player with the lowest cumulative score wins.

Disc golf is designed to be played by people from school age to old age. If you can throw a Frisbee and like to have fun, you can play disc golf.

Tiger Junior Lacrosse Club is open to all players K-8 residing in our Hackettstown High School sending district; Hackettstown, Allamuchy, Liberty and Independence.

Tiger Junior Lacrosse Club's  primary purpose is to teach and promote the game of lacrosse in a positive, safe and sportsmanlike environment to the youth of Hackettstown, Independence, Liberty, and Allamuchy. As a youth league, TJLC is dedicated to the skill development of lacrosse players and teaches a game of speed, position and finesse rather than physical intimidation or promoting a team's winning record. Along with learning lacrosse, TJLC strives to instill the values of sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, self-confidence, leadership and a love of the sport of lacrosse for teammates, coaches and officials; in essence we "Honor the Game".  TJLC believes that sportsmanship is a way of life and will conduct all activities in a manner that will set an example of good sportsmanship and friendly competition for our young athletes.
